The Killers - Spaceman

After their massive hit, Human, The Killers are back with another brilliant track from his Stuart-produced album, Day & Age. Spaceman merges the best from Stuart and from themselves: in fact, it is less dancier than Human, and has a truly "band" sound, but it still being a perfect pop song. Lots of harmonies and melodies, and a huge chorus.

The image at the left belongs to the promo cd sent to radios, including drummer Ronnie Vanucci's cover. The real and commercial cover will include Brandon Flowers' image, which you can catch here:

Spaceman was the first song we knew after the amazing Human, and it was well received by their fans, which were a bit scared that the whole album would have the electronic beats of Human.

The music video, released a few weeks ago, is like psychodelic dream, including lots of people dancing and dressed like carnival on an open structure. It starts with Brandon coming out from something like an egg and dressed like some kind of superhero.

You can see it here:

There is still no tracklist confirmed, or even mixes, but it would be amazing if Stuart did something truly electronic with this track. The Picture Disc version will include a fan-loved b-side: Tidal Wave, an organic ballad with ambient sounds and very emotional.

As a curious fact, you can download and play this song on the Rock Band series, for PlayStation3 and Xbox 360.

The first time we heard this track it was live, and here you can catch this amazing performance:
